I’m sorry for the lack of posts lately and am going to apologise in advance for the lack of posts over the next couple of weeks. My visa medical and interview were in London last week and the week before, so my time has been really tied up with all things immigration!
Everything went well 🙂 Which means that now the house looks like an explosion of boxes! Sorting, packing, ebaying… Lots to get done and in only a short amount of time. Which means my writing, and this blog, will suffer :/ But only for a couple of weeks and then I can get settled in and focus on my work in progress again.
I’m finding it amazing how much junk I’ve accumulated over the years. I always try to clear things out every so often – ebay or charity donations – but now looking at things in terms of “how much will this cost to ship to America?” is making me realise just how many things I need to get rid of. Not the shoes though, obviously 😉
So, I will try to do a couple of updates along the way but I fear the boxes are plotting to overthrow the living room so I must get back to work! See you all in a couple of weeks when I’ll be typing from our shiny new home in America 🙂
Good luck with the move. Think of how much time you’ll have to write on the plane!
Hope the move goes well. I’ve been having a sort out as well recently and its surprising when you start going through things how much you can cram into a really tiny space.
For example I donated about 300 books to charity and it hardly made a dent on the stack. Its worrying as hell. I’m also getting ready for a Winter Clean in order to have space so I can stock up for the big freeze.
I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU FOUND THE TIME TO BLOG! You’re a crazy woman!! I know you’ll be happy once you’re all settled in your new home in the U.S. In the meantime, try and get your stuff done, and don’t worry about blogging or other things that ‘can wait’. You have bigger fish to fry! I hate cleaning out old paperwork-it’s my nemesis! Good blog! 🙂
I’m a total pack-rat and would hate to have to move again!
Good luck with your move…that’s a big one!
Good luck with the move! See you soon,on this side of the pond.
Yay, boxes! When they all get here you and I can make a fort! 🙂
